United States 2008
Let's have a thought
After a very enjoying journey trough Turkey on August 2007 we were looking for another new travel experience. Due to our Easter 2008 very hard trip crossing the Tunisian Sahara, we were looking for a little bit more comfortable journey and our mind came out to the States. Well, we had been watching a lot of movies about the Route 66, even reading novels of bearded guys riding appalling motorbikes on the Route (yes, so are the Harley's, iron thundering garbage) carrying blonde gorgeous girls and all this stuff. Plus, my day-by-day improving English needed an English speaking country. So finally the decision was made: we will long all the way between Chicago and Los Angeles trough the mythic Route 66.

The Journey
.gif)
August 13th: Reaching Chicago trough O'Hare Airport, via Amsterdam. The first thing to remark is a very clear and blue sky dotted with white smooth clouds, like cotton flakes. We take the rented car and head to a hotel, near Grant Park. On the afternoon we take a long walk trough Grant Park, the lake shore and the Millennium Park.
August 14th: We pay a visit to the Museum and the downtown, walk along the Gold Mile and climb to the top of the Hancock Center skyscraper to have a look over the city. Then we go to the Navy Pier to have lunch.
